	Story Behind the Song Living in a city, the composer was struck almost violently by the extreme quiet of the town of Tyalgum, nestled as it is between large mountains, and seeing little road traffic. This movement, based on a single chord of superimposed fifths gradually getting closer together in time, is a reflection of that quiet.
