Story Behind the Song
I was on the subway one morning and saw a billboard with a photo of an old friend.
I hadn't seen them for a while, they had been persuing the "high life" and looked like they had lived a little too hard.
I later heard they were sick and possibly weren't going to make it. I really regretted not keeping in touch with this person like I had meant to.
It took me less than 20 minutes to write this song once it started coming out. "Anymore" will always be special to me.
"My friend, farewell" - I never said it to you, but I hope you hear it now.

Lyrics
It's been raining out, and by the looks of the clouds, it's going to rain somemore
I saw your mom the otherday, she gave me the address to your new place
Said you don't call her anymore
So I've been saving all I want to say, to write you on a rainy day
But the rain won't go away and I don't have much to say
you know I meant to write before, but we don't talk much anymore
How does it go with you, how is life from your point of view
Do you think about me anymore
I saw your face the other day, between the pages of a magazine
You don't look the same anymore.
So I've been saving all I want to say, to write you on a rainy day
But the rain won't go away and I don't have much to say
you know I meant to write before, but we don't talk much anymore
My friend farewell, I wish you well, I wish you well...
So I've been saving all I want to say, to write you on a rainy day
But the rain won't go away and I don't have much to say
An hey look at you now, you sure must be proud
you know I meant to write before, cause we don't talk much anymore
And I've been saving all I want to say, to write you on a rainy day
But the rain won't go away and there is nothing left to say
An hey look at you now, you sure must be proud
you know I meant to write before, cause we don't talk much anymore
