Story Behind the Song
This was their first evolution of the music called "Son," towards our modern "Salsa." The New York Latinos, specifically Cubans and Puerto Ricans, merged American pop and rock elements into their traditional homeland music, creating many different styles of music. For more information, please visit Nelson's website at http://www.nelsongonzalezonline.com. There you will find a long article by Tommy Muriel about the group Tipica 73.
