	Story Behind the Song Shameless escapism. On a crowded street, stop, look beyond the city, focus your eyes on a distant place - miles away - wide world's apart. Listening to this music will help to focus your ears on the same. David and I composed this piece in 1991 and recorded it a year later. David is responsible for the arpeggiating backdrop - I for the largely (painstakingly) programmed piano. We each wanted to name it after our own "special" places which says much about how we feel about this music. We settled on "raging calm" - there is an intense tranquility to this music, almost too intense as an underlying current of emotion builds and threatens to break before ebbing away once again. Eventually, the music modulates beautifully into a major key and calmer waters for the first and last time. We hope you enjoy it.
