Story Behind the Song
The song was a written merely to tie the album artwork, (a lone fire fighter facing a blaze and out of water), together with the chosen tracks. It was sort of a prequel to the opening song, aptly titled, "fire engine". As with the rest of songs on the album, it was written and recorded extremely fast. I like to keep the intensity and intent fresh when I go to record, and it also prevents alot of useless overdubbing, which can kill the simplistic approach, which I love. So far, this track has gotten the most radio play, I guess due to its uptempo pop-rock feel.

"Confession"
Words and Music by Ken Hylind
(c)1999 TRAGIK
Intro:
Its alright, I'm ok
I'll turn it off for one more day,
plus I'm clear till' tomorrow
but that's what I want to say..
'cause I know
Its alright, I'm ok
I'll put it off for one more day,
plus I'm pray for tomorrow
and play with a razor blade..
'cause I know
Pre Chorus:
it's too much to pay, for whatever you do
remember that day, when I saw you
Chorus:
tell me more, tell me more, I want to know
give me that razor
tell me more, tell me more, I got to know
this time you won't betray me
1st verse:
Now I'm listenin' for the phone to ring, so the alibi's your fault
Now I'm sneekin' out the back door so it's, locked up like a vault
I'd sell my soul for a dollar if I, could change what you do
I sold my soul in the car that day, when I saw you
2nd Chorus:
tell me more, tell me more, I want to know
give me that razor
tell me more, tell me more, I got to know
this time you won't betray me
bridge:
Pre Chorus:
too much to pay, for whatever you do
remember that day, when I saw you
1st verse:
Now I'm listenin' for the phone to ring, so the alibi's your fault
Now I'm sneekin' out the back door so it's, locked up like a vault
2 part harmony:
I'd sell my soul for a dollar if I, could change what you do
I sold my soul in the car that day, when I saw you
