    A horrid, pathetic attempt at making music. I keep it up as a reminder of my musical history and how far I've come only - I almost can't even stand to listen to this piece of &*#$ anymore.

    Story Behind the Song
    This is about how much more concerned I've become about my appearance thanks to, yes you guessed it, the most obvious thing you can think of: the media. I went total-synth on this one - not making a shred of an attempt to mimick any other forms of metal (except maybe this thing called "industrial metal" - but this is even more electronic and "fake"). It's a much more pure form of Synth-Metal. The gritty distortion synth lead is one of my favorite programs.

    Lyrics
    Why are we constantly infested with these images, changing our standards? Is it necessary for them to be placed above the
    median we live in? It doesn't matter to me where you think my confidence should come from. {Imagine a world without
    having anything to compare yourself to.} Stop staring back at me! I don't wanna look at you! You will never be what I
    wanna see in me; they've tainted my standards for you. As I realize where my limit is, I feel my confidence die away.
    Why do they insist on pushing these images, forcing us to embrace them? They've changed from being an idea to being the
    standard we follow. I can't help that this is where I need my confidence to come from. {Imagine a world without having
    anything to compare yourself to.}
