Based directly off of "The Matrix": an ethereal anthem to finding the truth and waking up to reality.
CD: Six Billion Drowning Machines   Label: None

    Story Behind the Song
This song is based directly off of the film "The Matrix". It is about realizing that there is something far greater than this shell of a world we live in. That there is a God and an eternal bliss and an eternal damnation. There is Someone Who is powerful beyond our wildest imaginations. And there are throngs of people who are searching for the Truth. It was written in Indianapolis, IN about 1.5 years ago but never recorded. This song took a period of 1 month total to record. The most trying takes to record were the vocal takes by far. If you try to sing the vocals accurately then you will see why.

    Lyrics
    here we are again inside
    the room we call reality
    the catastrophic thought
    of nothing left in memory
    to grasp the realization
that all we have is not all that we see
to know that there is something
    thicker than our paper dream

    an empty plate strewn with
    the crumbs of ancient mystery
the bread that used to be
    devoured by the vultures hungry
    those who are famished
for the answers that easily vanish
have no idea about the answer
    of eternal substance

    look now
the bomb is ready to explode
    are you
ready for the truth it holds
    don't drink
the warm milk and then go to sleep
    wake up
seek the truth not this dream
    forget this dream
    life is a dream

the black hole spreads her arms
and grips us in her tractor beam
    the hot desire to discover
    what all of this means
    the darkness makes it hard
    to see beyond your hand
it's always darkest then the dawn
    paints up the land

    everyone is gathered round
    a curtain covered masterpiece
no one dare take a peak
and view the beauty of the Face
the Face of the Man whose Name is Truth
    for the world interrogation
    behold our blessed Clue

    here we are again inside
    the ship we call security
and the amber waves of grain
    are telling us everything's okay
there's an entire universe and nothing more
no great big God or way divine
    no seas beyond these shores

    to know the cosmos
    and the silver winged stars
to know that earth and love
    and wind and fire
exist at the wish of God
