Story Behind the Song
Written in the fall of 1996 when the love of my life returned to California for school, still in love after a beautiful summer of passion and heat in the Arizona desert, I immediatly started recording sessions that lasted through the winter and mixed into the spring of '97. This was my first major production and is still my favorite love song of all time. I particularly love this beautiful work because it captures the true feeling of being in love with you, Jenny. Thank you for your love and friendship that has lasted through the years. Love, Rodger
Lyrics
It seems I'm most lonely, in the morning
When I open up my eyes and you're not there
I pull all of the covers over my head
And I close my eyes and think of you, I dream of you
That you're right here, holding me, close to your heart
Your gentle kiss the warmth of your touch
Although we are far apart in distance
I can feel you...
Every since you left for California
All that I think about is you
You're beautiful
Magical
Cosmical
I stare across the city to the mountains
Wondering what you're thinking of
Then I feel you thinking of me
And I can Feel
You holding me, close to your heart
Your gentle kiss the warmth of your touch
Although we are far apart in distance
I can feel you
I can feel...
I can feel you
