"A Gaggle of Jigs" | genre: Folk | |

Being The Hatter from Nenagh, Black Donald the Piper and the Humors of Glendart respectively. All are anonymous Irish bagpipe tunes, the sound of which I have sought to imitate through the use of crumhorn and didjeridu. Mainly because I cannot play the bagpipes.

Story Behind the Song
These are pieces I have learned, lived with and played for several years in a variety
of groups and sessions. In truth, there are any number of jigs I could have used, but these are three of my favourite, and not only show off the crumhorn's light-hearted sound to good effect, but also provide interesting rhythmic phrases for the
didjeridu to play with.
