Kind of a jazzy/country/pop cross over, with the elements mixed up just enough to keep it from truly being either one.(There are even measures in 4/4!) |

Story Behind the Song
I'll never forget...driving down the street, through Garrett, Indiana, in a heavy downpour.I saw this guy on the sidewalk who looked absolutely miserable, and the 1st verse and the melody popped in my head. I'm sure if I could have asked him, he would say "I was miserable because I was caught in a heavy downpour!" But hey, when inspiration strikes, accept the blow!
Lyrics
Crying
Crying in the rain, I see you walk away
with another
Crying in the rain, I fell my heart break
a little longer
Crying in the dark I feel the world fall apart
from beneath me
Crying in the dark, I hear the silence of my heart
barely beating
CHORUS
Crying for a love long ago lost
Crying for a gone hopeless cause
Crying for a time long ago past
Crying all my tears until the very last
Crying in the wind, I can feel the pain
all consuming
Crying in the wind
I feel it all again
fires burning
Crying in the night I can feel my life
slowly fading
Crying in the night, I Can feel the spite
silence raging
REPEAT CHORUS
