Lyrics
Years ago, when the earth was still young/
Eager to grow
No life did abound till the heavens above/
Gently rained down.
And then came forth Man, to work with his hands/
To help rule lands
So far and wide, no pleasures had he/
Yet deep inside,
He had satin of blue skies, and the lace of the earth.
And all of creation, to share in his worth.
But what have we done? Oh why, please
tell me why. Are we so blind not to
see, to see what we hide
Under the veil of the sky, Under our
feet, beneath the sea's pride.
Across lands we've roamed, sailed on the sea/
Not searching alone
Ad Astra are we, but what will we find/
In this new sea?
Satin of blue skies, and the Lace of an earth?
Will all of Creation now share in our worth?
Satin and Lace
Satin and Lace
Satin and Lace
