An experiment in the abuse of a broken washing machine. Hypnotic churns and drones form the main body of this track (supplied by the ailing machine) with radio voices and soaring melodies weaving in and out of the background. Described by Salient Magazine as "the most innovative, emotive and experimental music ever to come out of New Zealand".
CD: The Ironman (Dr Kevorkian & the Suicide Machine)   Label: DDV Laboratories
Credits: written, programmed and performed by Jordan Reyne

    Story Behind the Song
THis song is constructed almost entirely of sounds from an ailing washing machine (with vocals additional).
Written when the artist worked as a cleaner in Wellington, and encountered the machine in its death throes.

    THE WASHING MACHINE SONG

This is a story about a girl who attempts to defy a series
    of scientific understandings
which to all but trained professionals
    seem like something everybody knows.

The watching eyes and open mouths and open ears say:
All the worlds a stage - take a bow.

So what do we expect? We see: someone walking forward
slowly but indefinitely towards something incomprehensible,
not understandable, illogical or just harder.
    maybe just harder
