Story Behind the Song
This undertaking was one of the most satisfying film scores I have ever composed. I am a big fan of John Williams and Stravinksy, as well as modern influences like X-files Mark Snow. This score gave me the opportunity to explore and fine tune these influences, assimilating them and melding it into my own voice. The result was, I feel a very early edition of my own distinctive fim scoring style. I had long been a fan of John Williams' "Imperial March" and had secretly longed to compose music that was similar in scope and grandeur. I think that in this score I managed not only to satisfy that desire, but one better- to do it in my own voice in such a way that was distinctively my own spirit and style.
