Story Behind the Song
this song was written by our drummer Nick, like a majority of our songs are. Since we see people like the ones described in this song in everyday life, we decided to write a song about it. Its saying how when we dofind that one person who tryly listens, and helps us with our needs, we can get on with our lives. we gave Nick a title... and 3 days later, he had a great song. It took us only 2 takes to record this one... because we practiced our butts off for it.
Lyrics
Verse 1:
She came into the room,
With a Tear for every story she told,
sympathy, seemed to be her short time use medicine,
caught up in a conspiracy when her name was called,
she took a number from the lady who's sypmathy she thought she'd win.
Good morning, how are you today I said,
Did you have troubble getting out of bed,
No she said but my eyes fountain is on
automatic,
we can fix that, I'm your mechanic.
Chorus:
Take two, call me in the morning,
And tell me how you feel,
Take three, call me tonight if it's a big deal,
take four or more then come and nock on my door,
take eight, don't wait, and don't be late
Verse 2:
With that she left, and gave me her bag of troubbles, they were small but many.
How do you spell self esteem when you're living in a wold thats one big dream,
who knows what cause and effect words have on intellect,
don't ask me why,
cuz I'm caught up in the sky,
Helping clouds, Drift their way by.
Verse 3:
Nine years later, I caught up with her again,
in the street i asked her,
how have you been,
she said I am no longer hurried, to be rather worried,
and thatwas the best phone call, I ever made
