Story Behind the Song
Hello, and welcome to "Jazz Club". Greeat. The rhythm was the inspiration for this piece. Yeaah. It is a mellow and funky compilation by none other than Danny Cummings and Miles Bould, and has a marvellouslly live and healthy vibe to it. Grooovy. The rest of the tune fell into place quite easily. This is a new recording - the original was recorded about eight years ago, was not as layered and originally the rhythm was mono. Smoooth. This is what happens when you listen to too much Jazz FM on the way to work! Mmmm, grrreat. Seriously, it is supposed to depict me in the act of creation, sitting at the keyboards, figuring out what to do. We may or may not give a special prize to anyone who can guess exactly what the ambient sound FX are at the beginning and end! If you think you know, mail us at Jinxy@dogsounds.com! Oh yeah, and the name? I knew a guy called Sal years ago, who had three mates whom he called Jinxy, Tinkle and Mush. Dibn't ask me, they were his friends, but the name kinda stuck in my head!
