Get Fancy Magazine writes "Joan then swoons her way into another KD Lang like self-helper in "Torch Song", a tune that, like Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror reminds you to turn toward not away from yourself, your dreams , to be on fire with life's love.

Credits: Written & produced by Joan Bujacich

    Story Behind the Song
My grandmother was the initial inspiration for this song. When I went to visit her in the hospital before she passed away her eyes were filled with such a warmth, such depth and something happened on that visit that really moved me.She loved to have fun and have people fill her house with good food and music and love. I feel that energy is part of me as well and the song speaks about following your dreams and letting your love find a way to express itself.

    Lyrics
    TORCH SONG
    In memory of Lilly Segreto

When you turn into your dreams
Do you see eyes you’ve never seen
Are you a stranger to your heart?

Wasn’t too far from the end
I went to see her once again
    Her eyes were much greener

She was on fire with life’s love
    Her eyes were on fire
    With life’s love
    So deep and warm
    So far to look in
    She took me to see

You can close the door to your dreams
    Get pains from deep within
And they’ll never find the cause

Take a pill for this or that
Try to burn away the disease
    There’s no cure for desire

    I’m so on fire
    With life’s love
    I’m so on fire
    With life’s love
    She passed me the torch
    I hold it
    It’s burning my hands

You can judge, cast the stone
Try to face it all alone
Never look into the mirror of your soul

All the times pass you by
    Always wondering, wondering why
    Fall victim to your fears

    I’m so on fire
    With life’s love
    I’m so on fire
    With life’s love

    You passed me the torch
    I hold it
    It’s burning my hands
