	Story Behind the Song Very rarely, you may read a story that is like a picture with a "frame" around it. Like The Wizard of Oz, for instance, in which the frame around the story is the black-and-white setting in Kansas at the beginning and at the end of Dorothy's fantastic, colorful dream. This song, which is a fantasy, has a spoken-word frame around it to bring you in and back out of the daydream. I didn't want to put out a CD without having at least one really artistic piece on it, so I had to include this one for myself and other people who love art rock! "Gypsys Heart" has a special place on the album and in my heart. Lyrics Spoken: Have you looked out your window on a moonlit night, and wished you could climb out into the moonlight; listening to the crickets underneath the stars? Listening to the sound of your gypsy's heart? She can't tell herself a story, tell herself a lie. She knows that she won't fly if she never tries. She can't live inside a shadow; she's so much alive. Her light keeps on burning, shining, all the time. Everybody knows a gypsy's heart has a gypsy's home far away. Everybody knows a gypsy's heart has a gypsy's song to play. Dances, dreams, and secrets setting her pace Stars will guide her as she moves from place to place. Out there somewhere is her future. Tea leaves in her cup say staying home and dreaming just is not enough. (chorus) She is more than just a shadow as she slips away. She's got to dance beneath the moon until the day.
