A Melancholly bit about how people are blah. They don't suck, they're just... Blah. Love isn't what it's cracked up to be, so, whatever. There's other things in life. Yeah, Anyway.... |

Story Behind the Song
This was written after a conversation with a friend who had just broken up with her boyfriend. It's not totally accurate as to how I live my life and how she lives her life and blah blah blah (we don't go clubbing or anything, In fact, i have an intense fear of clubbing, even though the opposite is implied in the song) but, yeah, anyway. You get the idea! listen!
Lyrics
She says "If Love is True,
Then truth is Dead.
'Cus I sure can't find love"
But I've tried to tell her
things are great if you
squint hard enough
Then she gives a sarcastic sneer
and returns to her Diet Coke
with a heavy sigh, she takes a swig
"Why can't I get a good man?" She asks
"Maybe they're all gay" I laugh
Then happily strum my guitar
And maybe darkness isn't so bad
And maybe depression's kewl
So what if everyone's dumb or taken?
**kewl little dorky acoustic solo**
So She ties up her hair
and I put on my shoes
then we head for the Apartment's front door
Her in her goth-crap
And me in my Geek-chic
Ready for another night of the same
But things are never the same
'Cus thing have always changed
Maybe we'll change, like we're destined to
or, maybe, we're hopelessly the same
