Just a simple song, seemed fun to do.Hey, and it was. Was almost called "Watching Aindrea Dance".
CD: Fell to Earth   Label: Straitjacket Productions/Asan Audio Assault
Credits: Chip Cummings: Vocals/ Bass/ Keyboards J.E. DeSimone: Drums

    Story Behind the Song
John DeSimone (a.k.a. Johnnie D),singer, songwriter, drummer, and producer. Now with the bands Cuzrok and Justin Seine, and formerly of too many bands to mention
was cool enough to lay down some drum tracks for an old friend.
I guess the beat just came to him, as did the lyrics for me.Only took a few days to complete,it just flowed.
This song is one of the first few that I really got to produce,I do plan for more to follow.

    Lyrics
    Dances Alone
    Words: J.J.Cummings
    Music: J.E.DeSimone/J.J.Cummings

Have you seen that girl? The one who dances alone, In the corner of the bar, does she ever go home? Have you seen that girl, Jukebox her best friend, she's plays D19 over and over again. In her own little world with her tonic and gin, floating softly like a feather in the wind.
In a smoke filled room patrons sit and stare, some have seen her before and some don't even care. Is she dancing alone or does she think some ones there? A ghost from her past to defend her nightmares. She stays all alone, invites nobody to dance, ignores the drunk boys, won't even give them a chance.
She'll shatter there dreams of a little romance,by shooting them down if they make an advance.
On a sawdust floor she seems miles away, twirling around watch her spin watch her sway.Other girls pass by but no one can compare, she drifts all around like she's dancing on air.See her everynight but she never sees me,or anyone else is that the way it should be.Is she dancing alone or does she think some ones there, perhaps a ghost from her past to defend her nightmares.
In a smoke filled room patrons sit and stare, some have seen her before some don't even care.Is she dancing alone or does she dream some ones there? that ghost from here past that defends her nightmares.
Have you seen that girl? jukebox her best friend, she plays D19 over and over again.
