Story Behind the Song
My first love who had dozens of music boxes in her rooom that she liked to play as we would sit and spend time together. After she moved away, I hoped that she would remember me when she would play her "Music Boxes" again.
Lyrics
I am searching for an angel that I may never find, And I am looking...I keep looking, And she's somewhere in my mind. She has soft blonde hair and her mama's eyes, Once upon a time she was mine. If only I knew love right from the start. CHORUS-Play your music boxes for me. At one time I was blind but now I see. Lord take my breath so I can't hear her breathe. Life without you will be the dath of me. Oh can't you see? The piano keys our hands shared, played music in my soul. But I'm still playing...I keep playing, but I'm playing all alone. Like the Lady of Shallott,I lay adrift upon my boat. Girl I nee your love to stay afloat. Repeat CHORUS.
