The thump of house music, two sacred chants from India multilayered with Laura Doyle’s sweet and powerful vocals. 1000 years of good intentions in these two ancient mantras give this track mystical good vibes.

    Story Behind the Song
Sean had this chord progression that I really wanted to play around with. I was actually
looking to use a number of different sacred songs together to create a track that was
the embodiment of my belief that all religions come from a unified source of goodness.
I tried some stuff with Amazing Grace, Christian chants, native Indian chants but...
it seems the influence of the East was powerfully present in our consciousness and
the two chants landed together in a tantric heap. We layered seven vocal takes to
represent the seven chakras and levels of consciousness. So many people have
commented about how good they feel listening to this track and how much it stays
with them. Even when I learned the sanskrit words I could feel the resonance of those
sacred vowels begin to change me and truly I think the vocals sound not so much like
me as something that was channeling through me.

    Lyrics

    Om bhoor Bhuvassuvah
    Tat Saviturvarenyam

    Dhiyo Yo Nah prachodayaat.

This is an ancient Sanskrit mantra

by millions of voices in India.

I meditate on the most brilliant splendor of the divine sun.
May He stimulate our intellect, So that we are inspired to take
the right action at the right time. May there be peace on mortal
    immortal and Divine planes.

Gate, gate, para gate. para sam gate bodhisvaha!

This bhuddist Heart Sutra is chanted
to help pierce the veils of illusion
and open to the wisdom of the heart.

    Chant interpretation:
    Gone, gone. Gone beyond.
    Gone beyond the beyond.
    Hail to the awakened one!
