Story Behind the Song
Lyrically, this is a pretty straightforward tune about resentment and revenge. Person A meets person B, person B screws over Person A, Person A vows to chuckle when Person B falls off that lofty perch.
Musically, this has a heavy NIN and David Bowie influence; I was listening to Bowie's "Earthling" at the time, and that comes through on this tune.
Steve Mecca produced the vocals for this, the first ArlaVeer vox track.

Alone on your pedestal, livin' in your shell, you make your little plans and you put me through hell.
What makes you think you're special, so exotic and extreme? Cuz you're terminally normal and that's all you'll ever be.
But you don't have a clue what moves the world, what makes it all go down...
Whatcha gonna do when the Cold November comes?
You can dodge, run and hide, but the truth'll catch up with you.
When you're looking in the mirror and you don't like what you see and you've finally grown tired of giving me the screw.
I wanna see you then; wanna see you when you squirm
Whatcha gonna do when the Cold November comes?
When the worm finally turns will you still stand fast and hard?
You won't admit you're wrong, that you're evil, that you're mad, that you never should have gone this far.
When it's your time then, will you turn and run?
The pain's gonna hit when the Cold November comes.
You're gonna get it back, it'll all come back to stay.
All the crap you gave me, all the lies and deceit, all the garbage that you thought I simply filed away.
Revenge is a cold dish and its gonna be fun...
To watch you lick the plate when the Cold November comes.
Lick the plate...when November comes.
