Story Behind the Song
I Hate To See You Go (But I Love To Watch You Leave), was inspired by KIKK's Radio DJ, Harley Colt, at the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo. Song writers C.L. Milburn & Kevin Hickman were engaged in intercourse with Harley Colt. When conversation ended and Harley turned to walk away, the song writing duo watched in inspired amazement. As one commented "I Hate To See You Go",the other responded,"But I Love To Watch You Leave", and the rest is history.
Lyrics
1st Verse:
Girl you get my attention when you walk away.
Makin your exit really makes my day.
Though I love you baby, you know sometimes, I look forward to your leaving me behind.
Chorus:
I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave.
You gotta a way of movin that really moves me.
The sexy way you walk, knocks me off my feet.
I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave.
2nd Verse:
I don't know if you know what you do to me,
That glide in your stride just comes naturally.
From the word go you get to me each time,
It's poetry in motion when you're leaving me behind.
Chorus:
I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave.
You gotta a way of movin that really moves me.
The sexy way you walk, knocks me off my feet.
I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave.
3rd Verse:
I don't know if you know what you do to me,
You shake that money-maker so naturally.
I hate to see you go. . .
