Story Behind the Song
LEECH BOYS
by angelo ©gianni
A bird landed on a hippo and said, Hello dear Mr. Hippo, may I reside on your back and feed on all of the parasites who slowly devour you?
And the hippo said, Why Ms. Bird, that sounds like a lovely arrangement. Move in at your convenience.
The bird did move in, and everything went fine for a while, but the bird eventually became dissatisfied with the variety of parasites that the hippo had to offer. As a form of punishment the bird would peck bleeding holes into the hippos back. The hippo screamed in pain and said, Ms. Bird, I can only offer you what I have, why do you try to change me? And the bird replied, Because I am not happy with who you are or what you produce.
The bird continued to torture the hippo, but still fed on him all the same, until the day came when the hippo drank from the stagnant poison water hole and fell dead on the ground crushing the insignificant bird who he had sustained.

I made and wanted you to take
You opened up my head
I let you eat from it
You think that's normal?
Think again
Voice raised
Your thoughts have no range
I hooked food for you
All I need is a bite or two
If it's between me and you
I win
I watch the rain just pour
I've got a chain on my door
And you come kicking round?
Fine/I'll leave you out there
These sheets, too tangled
They need a beating out
I'll tuck in corners
I'll tuck you in so tight
I'll tuck in everything
I'll let you sleep all right
You yell, I'll close up like a shell
And you can pry at me
Come out eventually
I'll wait till you have gone away
