	This song follows the typical g3 song structure (verse/chorus/verse/chorus/cool ass breakdown). This is also our longest song, just topping 6 minutes long. Recorded at Hollow Studios, February 10, 2001.

	Story Behind the Song Chris came up with the basic riffs for this song at vinnies house at around 3 a.m.! Feeling the inspiration, we had a mini jam session that morning and recorded the primitive version on the 4 track. Vinnie then added a killer bass riff that took a few weeks to perfect... and then we were like "Evan join the freakin band!"... so he did and added some stong backup for Chris, and also came up with the suprise kick back in at the end! Interesting note: this is the first song that pat wrote lyrics to, showing off his vocal stylings. Scotts Notes: This song, remaining as it had been since it was written back in late '99/early '00, used to fade out after the 4 minute mark. Evan masterfully added the final outro in December '00, and chris pulled the wicked solo out of his ass in the studio (no, i mean literally...it was pretty disgusting). Everything came together very well in the studio on this track, and though its over 6 minutes long, it didnt require more than 5 takes. If you ever accidentally hear us refer to a song as "Story," this is the song we are talking about. Chris wrote the guitar part with the image of someone telling a creepy story to it. One final note of immense importance, "Awakenings" is our 6 minute epic. Every band needs a 6 minute epic.
