	A lively piece employing the "coo" of a desert dove as part of the beledi rhythm. Instrumental sections bring in stringed instruments from around the world, from mandolin and oud, to India's sitar and China's Yueh Chin.

	Story Behind the Song I noticed that the "coo" of one Southwest desert dove corresponds exactly to the beledi cycle, popular in the deserts of the Middle East, where this same dove can be found. We played the beat, first, then added the dove, and its natural rhythm fit so well, we didn't have to modify it! We decided to profile many exotic stringed instruments over a keyboard-laden rhythm section. The title comes from that of one of my poems. -- Adam Burke/DK Lyrics "Coo coo, coo coo!" -- Desert dove.
