	Story Behind the Song The song was based on some real-life interaction between Cindy and her two sons. The song was written pretty quickly, but it was hard to decide on what instrumentation to use. It was very fortunate that Mike Ebner could offer his services to add the live bass line. That alone took about an hour. There are still some imperfections in the recording, but hey, it's a novelty tune! Lyrics Intro - vs. 1 - I wanna puppy, can I have a puppy, I really wanna puppy, but mom said, no. I would really love it, you know that I would love it Id reall really love it, but mom said, no. Ch: Whos gonna clean up the messes when it misses the paper?
