	Story Behind the Song This song was the first recorded on the album. It has an "Irish Rovers" kind of flair and is one of my absolute favorites. The words seemed to flow as I was writing it which inspired me to keep writing the others. Lyrics I live in a bedroom, I live in a bedroom Sittin' in a corner or lyin' on a bed Stuffed inside a toy box, covered up with big blocks Waitin' for somebody to play with me instead. Instead of all the cars and trucks in the bedroom Instead of all the dolls that are scattered everywhere Instead of all the books and balloons in the bedroom I need someone to hold me tight 'cause I'm a Teddy Bear. They brought me home at Christmas one very special year And set me underneath the tree filled with Christmas cheer And then a little baby appeared at the door And mama said, "this bear will be your friend forevermore." I grew up real quickly with that little girl It seems there's not a place we didn't go in this whole world And then one day I found myself alone unlike before With no one there to pick me up when I fell on the floor. Children grow up quickly but not so Teddy Bears We always need a cuddle just to know somebody cares I know I'm pretty dirty and my fur is missing too But there's nothing that I wouldn't share with someone just like you. So if you've got a Teddy Bear, someone just like me And long ago you found him underneath the tree Don't forget that he is magic, hug him once a day 'Cause he'll give you all his love and many happy hours of play.
