	Story Behind the Song Opening track of a musical of the same title I wrote(libretto written by Behn Cervantes)in early 2000. The opening depicts the tension between catholics and early protestants that that tragically led to the burning of protestants at the stake. This is actually the story of Martin Luther. Here, I tried to create the tention using both idioms taken from the Catholic book of hymns, the "Lieber Usualis" and from the Protestant hymnals, blending them together with my own style. This one was recorded by members of the Manila Cosmopolitan Church Choir and some guests from the UP Concert Chorus. The MIDI orchestra has been done with a Korg X5DR. It's amazing what a little rack module can do!
