    Story Behind the Song
The motivation is always to write a new innovative song. In this instance the lyrical inspiration came from the untimely death of a fellow artist and beyond genius songwriter by the name of Jeff Buckley. As a band we'd all been touched by Jeff's music and wanted to pay tribute to a true "dream brother." The song also has an underlying message about killing your idols and becoming your own hero instead of following in the guise of someone else's intentions.

    Lyrics
    Reverse the role revert control
Back into THE MIND leaving death behind
The nature of water the framework of stone
He floats down the shoreline but he's not alone
    TAKE, take him away

The gift of life waiting to unfold
His song unsung the greatest story never told

The hidden truth a sacred place
An ancient magic a shrouded face
This hour of dying this moment of faith
We cling to our idols and then we throw them away
    TAKE, take him away

The gift of life waiting to unfold
His song unsung the greatest story never told

My soul still bets the voice I can't forget
Will soon return and keep me warm
Confronting my own truth cause here and now I choose
    To live instead

Deep inside a heavy sleep my dream brother came to me
He said, "don't take your gift for granted; be your idol."

The gift of life waiting to unfold
His song unsung the greatest story never told

He's coming home; we all know
