	Story Behind the Song Written the day my son Tommy was born, May 24, 1990 and recorded later that same year. I came home from the hospital and wrote the whole song. The voices heard in the song are lifted from video tape taken around the time of his birth. That's my wife Chris and I talking about painting the baby's bedroom like the sky before Tommy was born. Then that's two month old Tommy in the middle break. Finally my mother comments at the end on the day Tommy was born that he's "not short legged". I also made a music video to this song that was a colage of video taken before and just after the birth. I wrote, performed, and recorded all the parts.
