	Story Behind the Song ALMOST ALIVE Words/music by Truman-Mulvihill (c)(p) 2001 Razor Spirits ASCAP This song is about nearly every endeavor known to man, at least in an urban setting. Take your job for instance. There's the joyful courting of the interview process followed eventually by the rough reality of the day-to-day operations. Many other scenarios bear similar fruit - ever have a romance that didn't work out? - and it is a struggle and takes supreme will not to dumb yourself down to mere acceptance of the status quo. The strange samples that are littered through the song are actually from live performances of mine, little mini-moments of which were taken out and shredded through whatever equipment was sitting around. The vocal effects were achieved with the help of a foot pedal courtesy of lead guitarist Hans Ouf (from Boise Gladiator), who supplies the Middle-Eastern riff over my chuck-chuck rhythm guitar playing.
