"I just love Bombay Beach Party. I've always liked the old sixties surf guitar stuff. This should be a single." - John Carter, co-writer of many 1960's and '70's hits including 'Can't You Hear My Heartbeat' 'A Little Bit Of Soul' and 'Beach Baby.'

Story Behind the Song
This is 'East Meets West' in the truest sense of the term. An Eastern raga melody line is placed against a surf music backdrop. I came up with this tune around the time I bought my beloved Fender Mustang, which is tailor-made for surf music. I drenched it in reverb from a Fender amp head. My goal was to end up with a track that sounded like some 1963 forty-five by some anonymous instrumental surf group. Not sure if I captured 1963, but I do taste saltwater when I listen to this one!
