	Story Behind the Song The music and the title line of 'Love help me, love help me, H-E-L-P! I need help!' came to me in my sleep. I didn't actually complete the lyrics until a year later. I went after a 1960's garage rock feel, with The Shadows Of Knight's "Dark Side" being one source of inspiration for an arrangement, and Paul Revere and the Raiders' "Sometimes" being another. Lyrics I had a woman. She's gone away. Said she's not gonna come back again. Love help me. Love help me. H-E-L-P! I need help! My heart is broken. She doesn't care. She just walks onward. She doesn't care. Love help me. Love help me. H-E-L-P! I need help! I've got an empty heart inside. I'm so surprised that it hasn't died. The girl gave me love then she ran right away.
