    Story Behind the Song
The song was composed while thinking of times back during high school. And the days spent hanging with all your best friends. This track was composed in my garage while cleaning it out on a warm sunny day(smile). I wrote it out in about 3 days. In tracking this title it took about month, with many takes on the vocals and horns.

Remembering my graduation year in school
Reflecting on my homie who was always so cool
While at a party diggin on some sounds one night
There was this babe who was the BOMB, standing under blue light
I gave up the seven digits hoping she call me on the phone
But little did I know she wasn't partying alone
This brother grab me be the collar and said
    What's the problem here?
I kept my cool cause spied my homie stepping from the rear

    Chorus (2x's)

You know your back is covered... when you call someone your best friend
Always there in the time of need on that you can depend
The kind of friend who is a zone like once in a lifetime
Always stepping to protect your back at the right time

We were two gym rats during the day cause at night we hit the books
Cause the paper chase of knowledge we couldn't get it on our looks
I still recall the late night raiding on his mom's refrigerator
When a voice sang out from upstairs
Don't forget the sweet potato piemy, my, my
The moral of this story is that back to back you win
And you better believe it's a natural fact when you call someone your best friend
Were only truly versing cause your friend a sure bet
Cause he borrow fifty dollars that I aint seen yet!
