accentuate lyrics about being yourself, even
if the price is loneliness. |

Story Behind the Song
When I first moved out on my own it seemed
that all of my friends were becoming 'sheep',
by this I mean following trends & fads
whether it was something they believed in or
not. I chose not to be a follower, & this
song came out of my desire to be my own
individual & do my own thing. It took about
10 years from the time I wrote the song on my
couch until I finally had a band together
that I believed in recording it with.
Lyrics
It seems like everything was workin' before,
But now it seems it doesn't no more.
I've tried to overcome this fight,
But you know, it seems like it just ain't right.
It seems like everyday is the same;
And now I'm starting to forget my own name.
Chorus:
'Cause I'm alone, yes I am.
I am alone, all alone....
I'm alone, yes I am.
I am alone, so very alone....
Seems like the friends that I thought I had,
Pushed me down, and made me look bad.
They put me down and tried to turn me around,
Until I found myself on the ground.
No matter where I go, I see the same thing.
I tell you, I'm sick of that whole damn scene!
(Repeat Chorus)
(Solo)
Bridge:
I see 'em coming;
I see their faces.
They've got the nerve to try to
Pull me back in the race.
(Repeat Chorus)
