There is a rickety old piano in the guest room of my grandparents’ house. It looked so large twenty years ago. I glanced over at my wife, and then at the peeling paint all around me. The place was probably falling apart twenty years ago, but I do not remember the decay. I have changed.
In the big room, a tree and New Year’s celebration. I remembered the ceiling as if it was 20 meters tall. A childhood memory. And then in May I would watch the parade on Red Square. There are cafes outside now and people with cellular telephones milling about. Much has changed. | MP3.com CD: Childhood - buy it!
