	Story Behind the Song Door Is Open was originally written while Rick was living in New York in the early 1980's shortly after his first solo album, "Tender Loving Abuse" was released. An early version of the song was recorded as a demo track by Rick and producer friend Jack Douglas. The song is about life...the choices we must make, the doors we must open and in some cases close. Opportunities are everywhere if one has the courage to go through the open doors and make changes. Lyrics I think it's interesting when fans try to interpret the lyrics the way they hear them.
