Story Behind the Song
This song was actually written in a very short perion of time, just as the majority of songs I write. The song was actually motivated by a Girl I had a long relationship with. It speaks of those things in life we only wish we could just let go of, wether it be a girl, Alcoholism, or whatever, we all know what holds us, and what we only wish to be free from.
Lyrics
Something About You
By: Daniel R. Wilson
Monday comes everyday for me
I fall to sleep at night
Just to hide the memory
Wish you would go, wish you would leave
But I keep holding on
Like that lady with her cigarette
I just cant set you down
Theres something about you
Theres something about you
Weve danced the last dance
In this smoke filled room
The lights come up
Our hearts fall down
Like the midnight moon
Wasted youth, theres no substitute for time
If we could go 88 miles an hour
Wed live it all again
