	Story Behind the Song The opening melody to this piece came to me one summer day as I was listening to the gentle Northwest rain sprinkling outside my window. As I worked on the piece, I remembered the warm summer rain from my childhood on the East Coast. We would put on our swimsuits and go outside and dance in it. Listen as the music builds from a gentle sprinkling to a torrential downpour, and then subsides again.
