	Story Behind the Song "The Imitation of Christ" was written by Thomas a Kempis in the 14th Century. That the writings of an obscure German monk living in a tiny medieval monastary would go on to be read by more people than all the other books ever written, save the Holy Bible, is surely something of a miracle. I tried to capture some of the spirit of Kempis in this song.
