	Story Behind the Song I can't begin to tell you how many phases this song really had, but I will try, in my own "crazy cubana" way, and you will see what I mean by this. Originally, this song was titled "Ni Lo Pienses", which means, don't even think about it. BUT.......it also is the "alias" name of a man I met while I was working at the Miami Skyways Hotel in Miami in the early 80's. I worked at the front desk as a switchboard operator, but always came in contact with the "guests" and especially the regulars. Nilo Pienses, he actually registered into the hotel with this name First Name: Nilo and Last Name: Pienses, which could actually be someone's name. Obviously this was his "alias" since he frequented the hotel many times with his friends, many beautiful women and of course all that money and power he claimed he had. Anyways, back to the song...I was used to seeing him up to the same old tricks, but was totally shocked one day when he entered the hotel alone, well dressed, as usual,and this time with flowers....for ME? After all I knew who he really was, a married man, wealthy, up to no good, and always with every woman except his wife. Now you think you can come to me (a ripe 17 year old at the time), and use that tired old line, well guess what I told him ladies?? Ni Lo Pienses!!! (don't even think about it!) And then he just plain gets it through the end of the song. So this is how the story started but working with my fabulous producer and friend Carlos Caro, we decided to end the song with a more positive note, and although Nilo does really get the "boot" by his wife, after advice she receives from me, in the end, the song takes a turn for the more functional ending.....still powerful, but less male bashing, than it's original agenda. In life, we all make mistakes, it is how we can learn about who we are and the choices we make and the implications we face if we don't straighten out our lives......so listen, there is a "powerful" message for us ladies, but an even more powerful message to the men of the world...."Endereza Tu Vida" (Straighten Out Your Life).....I think you will like it, and I know you won't be able to sit still..........
