Story Behind the Song
Jason wrote the lyrics during his night job, monitoring his dorms front door until 2am. It was orginally intended to be faster and more punk, but everytime the band rehearsed it, we played it a little slower... until we decided to go total mellow.
Lyrics
"Have you ever been so tired, so goddamn tired that you can't sleep at all?
Like you're on the edge of something way too big and waiting for a fall...
And you're heart is racing, mind is spinning, and you're headed for a crash..
Feeling burned out, feeling used up like you're running out of gas
So you sit at home and bang your head against the bedroom wall..
So you go to school and hide for hours in the bathroom stall...
They never taught you about things like this on Mr. Roger's Show..
Change your sneakers, change your sweater, but you still feel so damn low
Running out of time, running circles in my mind
Thought i had it all worked out, it's not so simple anymore
Just wanna go to bed at night, wake up in another life
Where am i?
What the fuck?
Ben's Radio sucks"
