Story Behind the Song
You imagine a conversation with
someone as you're about to drift off to sleep and catch yourself thinking
aloud. You strike up a match and light the candle on your bedhead, check
the clock - 10:30pm - pull out a note book and start to scribe the
conversation. Before you know it, there are three neat verses sitting on
the page on the pillow ten inches from your eyes. A quick glance at the
clock and it's 10:56pm - time to sleep. To awake to some words from the
heart is a pretty amazing experience. Try it.
Lyrics
Who would have thought.
Who would have known.
A year down the track,
My how we've grown.
I didn't know you from a bar of soap,
Just a name on a list that held no hope,
But I heard your voice and my heart stood still,
I raised my eyes to find you,
And I found my will to live.
CHORUS:
I'm gonna sing about you till the end of the world,
And I'm gonna dream of you're blue eyes.
You're my dream, I'm gonna keep your photo etched in my memory.
Just one more time now,
Please, smile for me.
I promised you a song so I wrote of heartbreak,
The wrong place the wrong time always equals heartache,
But I'm ready to celebrate,
You being you ,
And me being happy with all that you choose,
Coz you are so much more than my infatuation,
You're aura inspired this late night creation.
Quality people, yeah I've known a few,
A million fish in sea,
But there's only one you.
CHORUS x2
