The single most reductive piece I've ever written. I take as many variations on D, F and A ordering that I can fit into a four-note phrase, string that into a long piece, and have it played by four staggered instruments (in this case, a piano, an organ, an electric piano and vibraphone). Somehow, it sounds interesting.

    Story Behind the Song
Basically a twin inspiration from Terry Riley and Steve Reich. One night at my house, the power went out, and I wrote this to pass the time. Considering how stark and simple the concept is, it actually sounds very cool.
