	Story Behind the Song I can remember wishing that I were just a bit taller and more of an imposing figure, for most of my life. When you're under 5'5", you usually get labeled as "cute", or "petite", which is all fine and good, until such point as it becomes necessary to stand up for yourself or fight for an issue you believe in, and then you secretly covet those extra inches on your neighbor, so people take you seriously. I suppose I began writing this song as a quasi-fantasy in which there existed this "smaller than ususal being" whose power and menacing abilities were subsequently so completely and utterly underestimated! This song idea was looming about in my head for weeks, but I actually sat down and wrote the song from start to finish in one sitting in a matter of a few hours in my living room. It never actually got recorded with a whole band until a year later. There were a lot of mysterious guitar sounds and effects with lots of layering, which took several days in the studio. I laid down my vocals - lead and backgrounds in 1 or 2 takes at about 1:00 in the morning after one too many cups of coffee!
