Glass House at its finest. Born from Mike Carapella's hypnotic guitar/delay figure, this powerful mid tempo prog rocker is in many ways is the crown jewel of the GH demo collection. Probably the best overall production we achieved on our meager budget. Vocalist Eric Harrison is in top form for this song. | MP3.com CD: SHARDS - The Demo Archives - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
Whilst futsing about in the studio one evening, experimenting with delay slaps, guitarist Mike Carapella happened upon a most intriguing little guitar figure that we knew was the seed for something good. I found some cool chord changes that fit over the figure, and the chorus melody followed thereafter along with the verse framework.
The lyrics were a collaberation with Mr. Harrison and have different implications depending on which lyricist you ask but since I'm the one writing, I'll just say it was election time '92 when I wrote the chorus lyric. Nuff said.
Lyrics
So you're feeling low down / Holding hands with dispair
Your fate is heavy on your mind / Your life is going nowhere
All you need is to have a little faith / Come into the light and see
Just reach deep down in your pockets and share a little faith with me
No need to think it through
I'll do the thinking for you
I am the answer
Listen to me, parents sons and daughters
Pay no heed to what the others say
I'm your savior. See, me walking on water
Take my hand and I will lead the way
They're diggin down in the dirt / Finding all the faults that they can
What happened then don't matter / You know that I'm an honest man
You've just got to believe me people / Every thing that they said is a lie
Well I may not fool everyone but lord knows I'm gonna try
You still believe like you did before
You know it's you that I live for
Give me the power
Listen to me parents sons and daughters
Pay no heed to what the others say
I'm your savior see me walkin on water
Take my hand and I will lead the way
They will lead you just like lambs to the slaughter
But I will never let you go astray
I'm your savior see me walkin on water
Trust in me and we will seize the day
When Gabriel blows his horn
It's a signal there to warn
Everyone in line
As long as I go first
I'm the only one who cares about you
I'll turn the darkness into light
Just turn over all you've got to me
And I will make everything all right
