Unbeknowest to Jonathon Bartholomew Ford, his father, a high ranking member of a clandestine, under-cover ops division of the C.I.A., performs secretive experimental mind control testing on him during his youth, involving the placement of radio receivers in his dental work. As a result, he hears voices in his head, and suffers a variety of abnormal psychological symptoms. |

Story Behind the Song
The Salamander, who plays guitar in Bat's virtual band, hacks the C.I.A. computer, and
gains access to Bat's file, where he discovers the truth. Fearful of reprisal, The Salamander changes his name and temporary place of residence ( not unusual, for him ) and calls Bat from a public pay phone in Amsterdam, using a distortion module to disguise his voice...
Lyrics
Ghost Voices
When you're old and gray
And you ain't worth nothing
Maybe then someday
I could give you something
They say I need to see a doctor
I'm hearing voices in my head
I'm hearing voices in my head
( An excerpt from a telephone
conversation From: The Salamander
To: Jonathon Bartholomew Ford )
....I don't have long....as far as you're
concerned, he IS the devil...no, no, he
authorized everything.....fool, there is
no reason why....
When it's said and done
And they want to kill me
Maybe I should run
Oh the things they tell me
They say I need to see a doctor
I'm hearing voices in my head
I'm hearing voices in my head...
