Story Behind the Song
MUSICAL CATECHISM is a double MULTI-MEDIA CD documenting one year's studio work that was inspired by a book titled the same by Robert Schumann / circa.1874. This book has been handed down in Kevin's family for four generations. 'Catechism' is defined as a ritual involving intense questions and answers in order to seek a higher truth. When this is applied to music, as Robert Schumann did, one hopefully breaks down musical boundaries and begins to explore new aural terrain. This was our impetus! ALL SONGS ARE IMPROVISATIONAL ( no over-dubbing / no multi-tracking, no manipulation) hence, the songs on this CD are titled by the date they were created. Also included in this CD is a multi-media video done in collaboration with my brother Andre. ENJOY. // TF ~ www.earthboys.com~
