With so much music out there and so many creative people expressing themselves and trying to "make it" it keeps getting harder and harder to make something new and origional that nobody's done before, all this song tries to do is state that. Some people seek perfectionOthers just attain itI do neither. |
Label: Somewhere, I'm sure.
Credits: The feeling you get when you realize you've subconsiously copied something. |
Story Behind the Song
I was listening to the last hour of a four hour long techno show on a local radio station. It all sounded so similar. I was trying to think of interesting new things to do with my music, and realized that no matter what I come up with, its probably been done, or someone won't like it. So I said, screw, I won't even try to be origional for this song, I'll use built in beats from the sound software I use (Mainly Hammerhead and Tuareg both by Bram Bos for these) which is nothing that unusual in techno. I also used some old beats I'd made, and a baseline I dug up. Nothing new, did some processing with soundforge, but that was about it.
First song using my voice.
My favorite part is the little sie at the end, it just wraps it up soo well.
Lyrics
Everything you do is unorigonal.
It's Been Done.
